Successful Bomb Blast Testing in Socorro, New Mexico

CPFilms Inc., manufacturer of LLumar Magnum™ Protective Window Films made with DuPont Teijin Films™, is pleased to announce the results of Blast Hazard Mitigation Testing conducted by Applied Research Associates on September 19th and 20th, 2004 in Socorro, New Mexico. 

The impressive results achieved for LLumar Magnum™ security films as applied to both monolithic (single pane) and insulated glass (dual pane) window units are listed in the table below. The specimens listed in the table underwent testing in accordance with the US General Services Administration Standard Test Method for Glazing and Window Systems Subject to Dynamic Overpressure Loadings.  All specimens listed were subjected to blast pressures in excess of 4 psi with the impulse recorded between 28 and 30 psi-msec.
